What's Under the Hood As with previous models, the PlayStation 3 120GB system features an IBM "Cell" processor and a co-developed NVIDIA graphics processor that together allow the system to perform two trillion calculations per second. Yet the 120GB system manages to improve on this with its 45nm version of the processor, which although running at the same 60+nm speed as previous PS3 versions, uses less energy. This makes the unit's smaller size and quieter fan possible. Along with the traditional AV and composite connections, the 120GB system also boasts an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) port, which delivers uncompressed, unconverted digital picture and sound to compatible high-definition TVs and projectors. (The system is capable of 128-bit pixel precision and 1080p resolution for a full HD experience) This console also provides for an extreme sound experience by supporting Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, as well as Linear PCM 7.1. Finally, it features cross connectivity with your PC network and PlayStation Portable (PSP) and its pre-installed, 120GB hard disc drive allows you to save games as well as download content from The Internet. Ok look, you probobly aready know that the ps3 is great and if not IT IS GREAT!!but the reason i'm reviewing this product is because of the way they shipped it which was not bad. They shipped it within the estimate and it didnt come damaged. they did not charge me tax like they do in stores and I had free super saving shiping.The reason why I got it from amazon was because I used coin star, but now thinking about it I saved money because I did not get charged tax and didn't pay for shipping. In total I paid $299.99 exact.

This System is the epitome of perfection. Even the sleek design is perfect for picking up and moving, everything from its ninja like quietness to its amazing games in general adds to its perfection but one of my favorite features of the new sleek and slim PS3 is the PSP to PS3 video and music integration format its just an awesome system for all types of entertainment. Great job Sony you rock

I love my Playstation 3. Sony did a wonderful job in creating this console.
Most of my friends bought Xbox 360 mostly because it was the cheaper of the two.
As time progressed their consoles got the infamous Red Ring of Death while my PS3 still runs.
Although it is the most expensive out of the consoles, it is well worth it. The PS3 is a media monster in your room. You could:
-Play video games,
-Play Blu-Rays,
-Stream music or videos from an external hard drive,
-Watch Netflix
-Browse the internet
-Browse the PS Network and buy vintage games such as Mortal Kombat.
-Play multiplayer online for free!
If you are not sure if you should get an Xbox or a PS3, do not hesitate to get the PS3. You will not be disappointed.
We used to have the PlayStation 2 which was also cool, but the newer features of PS3 can't be beat since my husband loves games and I love the blu-rays. Good for both of us!

This is truly a nex gen console, hardcore gamers oriented but so much more, internet conected, its a entertaiment system on its own and by a 1080p tv if you can as big as posible.
And also buy games with some research before.
